HistoireWe founded Icosys in Fribourg in 2013 because we believed engineering should answer real societal complexity, not just technical specifications. From our first sketches on a borrowed whiteboard, we set out to design systems that hold together under changing conditions — socially, environmentally and technically. Our small, interdisciplinary team learned quickly that complexity demands humility, clear interfaces and close collaboration with stakeholders. We celebrate the moments when a system we helped shape runs smoothly and the harder moments when constraints force us to rethink assumptions. Those experiences taught us how to translate big, interconnected challenges into robust engineering practices. Today we continue to tackle complexity with curiosity, pragmatism and a commitment to solutions that serve communities.
