Description Lightbulbs & Lazers brings together game development, animation and immersive media to create interactive experiences rooted in African storytelling and research-led creative practice. The studio develops original game concepts and intellectual property while applying its expertise in 2D and 3D art, character design, animation, world-building and narrative development to interactive environments. Its immersive media practice encompasses **Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality (XR)**, exploring how emerging technologies can transform storytelling, education, entertainment, communication and audience engagement. The studio combines creative direction, visual development, animation and research to design experiences that are purposeful, culturally relevant and accessible to their intended audiences. A key example is **The World of Kurhwa**, an original African game and entertainment property for which Lightbulbs & Lazers is developing characters, environments, animation and promotional documentary content. The project demonstrates the studio's ability to integrate game development with broader transmedia storytelling and intellectual-property development. Lightbulbs & Lazers approaches interactive and immersive media as more than a technological exercise. Its research-led methodology considers audience behaviour, cultural context and communication objectives alongside technical and artistic requirements, enabling the studio to develop **responsible, sustainable and meaningful interactive experiences across games, AR, VR and XR.
