Sky Alleys
Once upon a time, when I was a little child, whenever someone asked me what I would like to become when I grow up, I always replied:
“An inventor!”.
Growing into a teenager I started to have an inventions notebook. Well, for most of them I found out they were already implemented, even if I had no knowledge of their implementation. Kind of embarrassing and disappointing, right? Not actually, because that way of thinking was always a part of myself.
I’ve been marching towards being a highly payed IT professional in the mean time and this took over almost all my free time. It also enlarged my knowledge and made me think globally by working day by day in an online field with people from all countries, cultures, religions and time zones. Many coworkers tend to value my opinion, trust my recommendations and follow my advices. Hope you’re going to do the same! With all that, my current job doesn’t fully define me. For example when I was finishing my Master degree in Telecommunications and Computer Science (2006 – 2007) I said, ‘If I’d had the money for it, I would invest right now in providing new Cloud Services’. I haven’t done it, instead I became a cloud solutions architect in the mean time. In 2013, me and a good fried of mine were working on a discovery document for implementing the ‘Follow me’ feature on the drones that were on the market at that time. 2 years latter DJI and Yuneec released that feature to the market in their new products (we had no idea they were actually working to implement it).
I guess I’ve always been an innovator, experimenter and designer. Even if it was for a simple home activity or a work project, imagining future ways of using already existing devices and technologies, or thinking of what could replace them, was truly my favorite activity. This site is my way of expressing it in writing, it also makes me think of more innovative ideas.
